Book Reviews — Torah Codes

Professor Robert Haralick, Professor Eliyahu Rips, and Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson have written a new Bible code book called Torah Codes: A Glimpse into the Infinite.

Many thanks to Roy Reinhold and Nathan Jacobi, Ph.D., for writing reviews of the book.

A beautifully bound and printed book, entitled Torah Codes: A Glimpse into the Infinite, has been published by the Jewish publishing house Mazal & Bracha in New York in late 2024. The hardbound, large format, 185-page book can be ordered by calling (1-866-END-DAYS) [or visit MySefer.com].

The book is co-authored by Robert Haralick, a distinguished professor of computer science at the City University of New York and a recognized expert on the statistical significance of Bible Codes; Eliyahu Rips, a professor of mathematics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and one of the two co-discoverers of the modern, computer-based methodology of Bible Codes; and Matityahu Glazerson, a Rabbi who taught and lectured extensively on the Bible Code. Interestingly, the other co-discoverer of Bible Codes, Doron Witztum, has recently published, in Hebrew, the first of three volumes of his own research during the last 30 years.

This book presents a very authoritative, technically high-level discussion of orthodox Jewish views on Bible Codes. The book is intended for the more advanced general reader who does not read Hebrew. The book includes chapters on Equidistant Letter Sequences, the Torah Code Hypothesis, the Experiment and Its Protocol, Monkey Experiments, and Code Critics. The book also has extensive discussions and examples of recent events, such as: the Twin Towers attack, terror attacks, Philistines and Palestinians, the U.S. Presidential election, South Asia Tsunami, and topics such as Repentance, the Messiah, and the End of Days.

An upcoming BCD issue will include a more detailed review of this important book.

Nathan Jacobi, Ph.D.

Two New Books on the Aramaic New Testament

Rev. Glenn David Bauscher is a pastor and former high school teacher with a proficiency in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. He has been preaching and teaching the Bible since 1976 in several churches in the U.S. He has written two books on the Aramaic New Testament: Divine Contact — The Original New Testament Discovered and The Peshitta Aramaic-English Four Gospels: An Interlinear Translation. Divine Contact documents the discovery of long Gospel messages in the form of Bible codes in The Peshitta New Testament. The Peshitta Aramaic-English Four Gospels presents the gospels in the language of Jesus and his countrymen of first century Israel, with a word-for-word translation into English next to each Aramaic word.

To purchase either of these large format paperback books, visit Rev. Bauscher's site or visit LuLu.com and do a search for "Bauscher."

The Disengagement from Gaza — A Volcano?

The July/August 2024 issue of Bible Code Digest included an article with the title: The Disengagement from Gaza — A Volcano? Curiously, a recent news story referred to the volcano image, which was part of one of the key codes discovered by Moshe Aharon Shak six months ago.

Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said Sharon's illness was a "volcano erupting in Israel. As Palestinians, we happen to live in the slopes of this volcano." It appears in the third to last paragraph of an article on the Israel Insider website.

Notice also these words from the end of the eighth and ninth paragraphs in Voice of America News: "Mr. Sharon's political gamble was also welcomed by many Palestinians such as Saeb Erekat, the lead Palestinian negotiator in talks with Israeli officials."

"I believe it is an eruption of a political volcano in Israel," said Mr. Erekat. "I believe it is a restructuring of politics in Israel. I do not think this is happening because of economic or social or religious or educational programs. It is happening because of us, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. I have not seen anything more significant in Israel since 1967."
