KEY FINDING # 1: MANY CODES ARE REAL
This site presents the findings and conclusions of R. Edwin Sherman, FCAS, MAAA, MA, mathematician, based on 17 years of research into the phenomenon of Bible codes. (In his investigation, the participation of two Hebrew experts was critical and invaluable: Nathan Jacobi, Ph.D., an Israeli physicist, and Moshe Aharon Shak, a Canadian engineer.)
The Hebrew Bible is thoroughly riddled with real Bible codes. Such dense encoding is the handiwork of a super-human Encoder who knew the future back when they inspired the different authors of the Bible to commit their texts to writing—at least 2,400 years ago. For better or worse, these codes are prophetic fragments which do not give us enough information to serve as the basis for making any reliable predictions. Why would an Encoder do that? If reliable predictions could be extracted, the content of these codes would compete with the literal text of the Bible, defeating the purpose of the Encoder in writing a text that the Encoder wanted people to understand and value. The real purpose of Bible codes is to serve as strong evidence of the super-human authorship of the Bible. Such codes attest to the authenticity of the text, much as real $20 bills have a strip embedded in them reading "USA Twenty" that no forger can replicate. More. . . .
